Joannes Serranus: Dictionarium latinogermanicumJoannes Serranus compiled this dictionary by his own account for beginners, since the Latin words are explained simply and in German. In his task he made use of other contemporary dictionaries and arranged the entries in correct order. In his preface, Gilbert de Smet tries to identify these contemporaries, but also demonstrates the regional significance of the dictionary (particularly for the region of Franconia). | |
